We were so happy with the motorhome & value for money. Everything else I researched was double the price. To get a near new motorhome for the price we paid was amazing. Absolutely would use Indie Campers again. Only criticism was that there was only utensils/bowls/plates etc for 4 people even though we booked as family of 5. Thanks for being part of a fabulous week in NZ!

Katelyn gave us a warm welcome on arrival and we really enjoyed meeting her dog Blue. She took great care to ensure the interior of the vehicle was clean and tidy was very forgiving on our return as one of the camping chairs had broken in our care. Overall we were very happy with the vehicle and level of service, particularly as we had chosen Indie Campers due to their competitive pricing. Thanks for helping us have a great holiday.

Addition of coffee cups and a broom would improve the pack given, and the vehicle manual, to know all working of cab. Thanks enjoyed our trip in your RV.

We had an exceptional time in our Campervan. I’m not sure how frequently IndieCampers in NZ change out their vehicle but the one rented to us only had 2k/km. Would highly recommend using the same vendor if you’re in South Island of NZ. Thank you IndieCampers!! We had a blast with the van!

I had a really good time renting from you. The car was well prepared and equipped for my trip and in good condition. The drive was fun too, I would rent from you again! I only have one comment, I picked up the car with a quarter of a tank and so I have to bring it back with the same amount of fuel which was a bit aggy. In my opinion it is better to pick up and return the car with a full tank. The car was well prepared and equipped for my five-day solo trip and in good condition. Driving on both tarmac and gravel is possible and fun. The (Chinese) gearbox was made by a lunatic, but after a day I got used to it. All in all, a good car for a short trip, but if you want to experience New Zealand to its fullest, a van is the way to go as you will be on tarmac most of the time.

The local team, especially Kate, was great and went way above and beyond. They made the experience worth it and I would do it again. One issue is I ended up paying for an early pickup at 10am when it turned out that it wasn’t necessary. The local team had it ready and was at work for me at 9am so I didn’t need to pay a fee for early pickup as I was made to believe online. I would really appreciate that early pickup fee to be refunded because it wasn’t necessary and caused me to spend money unnecessarily. Other than that I was happy with the service. Thanks Window sensor for heater had an issue but was able to be fixed. And there was an unnecessary fee for early pickup

Phil at check in was very friendly and helped with providing internet for money transfer etc. The checkin felt quite rushed and could imagine feeling very confused overwhelmed if i hadn’t used a van for travel before. There were some scrunched up sheet in one of the cupboards, I was unsure if these were used on not so left them there. Otherwise the cabin was very clean. Nil pan for cooking, nil spatula or scissors. The only utensil was a wooden spoon with a pot. Left hand side burner lighter was not working from checkin - required manual lighting. Screen slider for side access was bolted open and hence couldn’t be used. Overall a very positive experience with the staff and this van. A few things required ironing out with some inside stocking and usability issues. Katie was amazing at check out and dropped me to the airport! Great sized bed and plenty of storage inside. All the facilities worked incredibly well, and I found the vehicle super easy to drive.

Of the 12 countries I have visited while renting from Indie Camper, the team at the Christchurch NZ location has been by far the most considerate, friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure of working with Marciano and the manager Philip. They were both incredibly professional and even stayed late when I couldn't make my pickup time. Better online communication. The team in Christchurch were awesome to deal with just seemed unfair to expect them to be on hand 24/7. The linen situation wasn’t sufficient for winter. We ended up buying our own duvet and linen.

The workers at Indie were helpful upon pick-up and drop-off. Even gave me a lift back to airport for flight.

Give travelers a review of spare tire kit/procedure. Fortunately didn’t need it but realized part way through trip I didn’t know where things were. It may have been mentioned but I missed it. Thanks to Mars in Christchurch for getting us on our way and the Auckland team for checking us back in!

Better quality of the beddings would be an improvement.

We picked up the van in excellent condition, very clean and everything as expected!

Only thing we didn't know was water would empty if temperatures dropped below 3°. However by reading the manual we figured it out

I made a list of suggestions and gave to the employee. On top of that a direct telephone number from the office would be helpful in case of any problem. Very satisfied indeed. Thanks

The final clean was missed. EG wiping the bench to remove the dust and sprinkles. But otherwise it was great!

We had a great experience hiring this vehicle for our South Island road trip. We had everything we needed and the set up was super convenient - popping up and taking down the tent took about a minute - so it made it easy when we were arriving late at a campsite or leaving early. We only had one night of rain and we were able to stay dry in the tent, and even though it was packed away wet, the bedding inside remained dry. It does get a bit cold up top at night, but we made sure we had layers on so it was fine. The kitchen facilities that were built into the boot were also super easy to use, great for pulling up at a scenic lookout and enjoying lunch or a cup of tea. Would definitely hire this sort of vehicle again for a roadtripping holiday.

In autumn perhaps swap the duvets for sleeping bags or something a little bit warmer!BUT we appreciated the local team providing two duvets instead of 1 to help us keep warm!
